At Bethany United Church of Christ men and women work together and serve as the backbone of the church. The adults over the centuries have built this church and made it thrive to become what it is today.

The church has a Consistory that meets once a month that consists of seven men that are elected by their peers. They are the policy-making body that transacts the business of the church. The men are also teachers, preachers, ushers, greeters, communion servers, sing in the choir, organist, take care of church maintenance, etc., and hold jobs within the community.

The women of the church have the opportunity to be members of the Women's Guild which is an organization with elected officers that meets once a month and discusses any business that might need to be taken care, a brief bible study, and refreshments. The women have many facets that they do within the church which involve community service, visiting shut-ins, once a year birthday party at local nursing home, Sunday School Teachers, children's sermons, wedding showers, singing in the choir, lead worship on Women's Sunday, Blanket Sunday, parents for Foster Children, support local needs of the community such as Food Pantry, needs at nursing homes, etc. Many hold jobs within the community and serve the church as needed such as greeters or on committees.

There are many other events that the adults take part in that are listed on the event page such as family nights, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas programs, just to name a few.

The adults are here to work together, to encourage everyone regardless of age to take part in the church activities, and to be leaders and set an example for the younger generations to follow.

All of us should be a servant of God and the church not only on Sunday, but the entire week to follow and spread the word of God.
